About the event

Join us on Friday, April 14 11:30am-12:30pm via Zoom for the BAAC's second Quarterly Meeting on 2023! This meeting will be led by Dr. James McCauley on "Advancing Research on Quality of Life in Autistic Adults with High Support Needs and their Families."

James is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Saint Mary's College of California. He got his M.S. in Child Development and Ph.D. in Human Development at UC Davis, training at the UC Davis MIND Institute. He was a postdoctoral scholar at the UCLA Center for Autism Research and Treatment for Dr. Cathy Lord, working on a longitudinal study of autistic adults. His research interests center on studies of autistic adults with varying cognitive ability levels, with a specific focus on happiness and well-being and the life experiences that help predict these outcomes.

During this meeting, James will provide a short presentation on his work and then facilitate an open discussion on this topic. Please RSVP and while doing so, include any questions, comments, or discussion kickstarters you'd like to share with the group.

Event is open to all BAAC members. Non-members may join the BAAC by visiting the membership page.

We highly recommend you register by Thursday, April 13 at 5pm PDT, so we may have an idea of how to split folks into discussion groups. However, if you are not able to register in advance, we will send the Zoom link to everyone, so you may join.
